A graduate at University of South Florida, Demetra Bennett has been living in Florida since 1969. She has been Board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and in good standing with them. With 10 years of experience in Emergency Medicine as well as Family Practice, Demetra Bennett is well qualified to be your everyday family practitioner.

Practice Philosophy

I believe that our health is dynamically impacted by our physical, mental and nutritional status. I have developed a practice where my patients need ample appointment time to uncover and solve the complexities of illness and wellness. Therefore, all patients that utilize me for their Primary Care provider will be asked to have a yearly check-up wellness exam. This annual visit can include cancer screening such as pap smears, full skin exam, skin lesion, as well as a nutritional assessment.

Recommendations are based on your individual history and clinical exam. You may also be sent for blood work, EKG, chest x-ray, etc. Chronic illness management and referrals needed for the upcoming year will also be addressed. As a licensed practitioner in Florida, I will prescribe medications for acute and chronic conditions. I do, however, believe medications should be used in the lowest possible dose to achieve significant and noticeable result.

Patients With Insurance:

Currently, I am a provider with Medicare, Rail Road Medicare, United Healthcare, Cigna, Tri Care (REG), Avmed, Aetna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield and First Health.  

Co-Payments will be collected at the time of service.

Patients Without Insurance:

For patients with no health insurance, or insurance that I am not a provider the fee for the initial visit ranges from $55 to $75.

For those who have decided to join me as their Primary Care provider, an initial visit will be scheduled in order to obtain a complete history and physical.  Patients may utilize my services even though they are not under the care of the Chiropractic Office I am located at.
